We always asked ourselves what would make the Mario Party series more interactive. The Wii remote, it should go without saying, makes it perfect… after all, when your best friend is beating you by 8 stars going into the last turn, what better way is there to stage a comeback win than by “accidentally” forgetting to put on the wrist strap, then “accidentally” letting the remote fly out of your hand into your friends temple, giving him a concussion and forcing him to the hospital? Hey, a forfeit victory is still
a victory. Thats

Yes, in addition to the random insults and “Sorry I started the mini-game… you werent ready?” incidents, you can now add assault with a non-deadly weapon to your list of tactics for Mario Party 8. In the highly unlikely those high-level strategies fail, you can come here to IGN, as always, for some advice on beating those pesky mini-games, taking advantage of the board quirks, and in general kicking some serious butt so you dont always have to rely on shedding blood to be crowned the Superstar!

Unlockable: Bowsers Warp Orbit
You must complete the Star Battle with any character.

Unlockable: Blooper and Hammer Brother

To unlock Blooper, you must beat the Star Battle with any regular character. Then, to unlock the Hammer Brother, you must defeat the Star Battle with Blooper.

Unlockable: Minigames

Unlock the following minigames with the technique given…

Crown Showdown
– Unlock one minigame in each of the following modes: 1 v 3 player, 2 v 2 player, 4 player, and Duel.
Flip Out Frenzy
– Unlock any 4 player minigame.
Test For the Best
– Unlocked by purchasing it in the Fun Bazaar for fifty CCs.
Tic-Tac-Drop
– Unlock any Duel minigame.

Hint: Make Characters Talk

This is a somewhat useless but fun hint for Mario Party 8. At the title screen, the characters in the game are shown. If you point the Wii Remote at any character, they will talk and make various noises.
