Final Fantasy X-2 Cheats

There have been several long-standing traditions associated Final Fantasy series. Chocobos, guys named Cid, the Crystals, and the idea that every installment of the series is a stand-alone game, and will never see a sequel. Ever. Well, one of those traditions was erased from memory the day Square decided to follow-up the success of their multi-million selling title Final Fantasy X with a direct sequel. The events of Final Fantasy X-2 take place two years after Final Fantasy X, with heroines Yuna and Rikku returning with a new partner, Paine. Unlock Extra Ending
First youll have to meet with Maechen at Guadosalam in Chapter 3. Youll find him when you meet up with Logos and Ormi in the same area. Next you have to get the “whistling” scene with Yuna at the end of Chapter 3. When youre alone in the Farplane, move Yuna around and continually press the X button. Youll hear whistling. That means you have activated the event. Next thing you have to do is get an Episode Complete in Luca during Chapter 5. All you have to do there is visit the location where Tidus taught Yuna how to whistle. Next, get an Episode Complete in Besaid. Finally, once you have defeated Shuyin at the end of the game, keep tapping the X button to get your just rewards!

In-Game Reset
To reset in-game, press all four shoulder buttons (L1+L2+R1+R2), START and SELECT.

Unlockable: New Game Plus
Complete the game once through. Afterwards, there should be a “New Game +” option on the title screen that lets you restart the game with all the items your characters had before completing the game the first time.

Unlockable: Bonus Dungeons
Fulfill these requirements to open up extra dungeons. Chocobo Dungeon
: Talk to Clasko after you raise at least three Chocobos to Level 5. Fiend Colony
: Raise a Level 5 Chocobo and send it to Mihen Road. Via Infinito
: In the room with the lift, in Chapter Five, there is a group of Kinderguardians, and a portal by them.

Hint: Quick Kill
Equip the Cat Nip accessory and use the Trigger Happy ability when the wearer of Cat Nip has their health below half. You know this happens when their HP indicator turns yellow. The Cat Nip accessory allows any item, attack or spell to deal 9999 damage no matter what the circumstances. Since Trigger Happy allows you anywhere from 10 – 20 hits depending on what level you have it at, you can pretty much kill any enemy in the game using this strategy. Just remember, enemies are also affected by this too!

Hint: Good Level Up Spots
Good places to level up during the game are the Leblanc Syndicates headquarters early in the game, Cids secret dungeon during Chapter 5 for mid level characters, and the Depths of the Farplane for high level characters.

Hint: Easy Healing
If you need to heal up, change your characters into White Mages, because they have the lowest HP in the game. You can use regular Potions or low level white magic spells to cure them. Revert them back to their original classes and theyll be at max health.

Hint: Get Baralais Sphere
Baralais Sphere can be found in Guadosalam beyond the locked door that everyone talks about. How do you do it? Just complete all the Mt. Gagazet missions to let the Guado move back to Guadosalam (thus leading Tromell back to Guadosalam). Speak to him a couple times and hell open the door. During Chapter 5, Tromell Guado will let you inside, if you were able to finish the mission on Mount Gagazet during Chapter 3.

Hint: Quick Fix
If an enemy hits you with Stop, cast Haste or use a Chocobo feather on them. Theyll be back to normal, and they will also have Haste cast on them.

Hint: Easy Money
From the start of the game, use Pilfer Gil to get as much money as possible and try not to buy any items/accessories. Rescue Oaka from the Al Bhed in Macalania Woods (Ch. 1) and corner him in the southeast section of Macalania. Agree to help him and pay off his debt by the end of Chapter 2 (100,000 gil!). When the debt is paid off, hell have items at a cost cheaper than what you can sell them for. Buy 99 of each item he has (Potion, Hi-Potion, Phoenix Down, Antidote, Eye Drops, Echo Screen, Soft, and Holy Water) and sell all of it to the Gullstore just across from Oaka. Repeat for as much money as you want; each time you buy and sell items youll profit 16,830 gil!

Hint: Stealing Tips
Fighting Azi Dahaka in the Heart of the Farplain, stealing may award the thrifty with free X-potions. Escape the battle and repeat for another try (after a success; successful thefts empties out a monsters inventory).
