Pirates of the Caribbean Cheats
Yarr, Ahoy and Shiver me timbers! Contrary to popular opinion, the life of a Pirate wasnt one of bountiful treasures, sexy groupies and sweet spokesman deals. Well, maybe the first one is true. At any rate, the pirate life was a difficult one, and Pirates of the Caribbean is a difficult game. Luckily, youve got mateys here at IGN whove sailed the seven (ok, well maybe one) sea before you and are willing to share their treasure of game information. Arrrr! Whether youre wondering what skills to pick, trying to earn a living or just wondering why you cant complete one of the darned trading quests, this is the guide for you. Due to the incredibly open-ended nature of this game, a straight walkthrough would be virtually impossible, and ruin much of the games charm. Instead, this guide focuses on teaching you the basics that youll need to survive in the archipelago, many of which are never really explained within the game. Youll find facts, tips, hints, and a general wealth of piratic knowledge. For you complete newbies, weve composed a beginners walkthrough that should get you through the first few hours of the game and past its steep learning curve. From there, youre on your own. In this guide youll find: Skills/Experience: Stats, Skills and Experience explained! Trade: How to earn an honest (or maybe dishonest) living. In Town: Shops and how to use them, Where to find Quests Hand-to-Hand Combat: Fighting and exploring the islands. Sailing/Ship Battles: World map navigation and the fine art of the sea battle. Starter Walkthrough: Covering the beginning of the game through the first mission for the English Crown. Q&Aye: Answers to some of the more bewildering aspects of life in the archipelago.

Before editing a game file always make a backup copy of that file. Go to the directory of the following file: “character_init” (Mostly it is in the following path: C:Program FilesBethesda SoftworksPirates of the CaribbeanPROGRAMCharactersEnglish). It must be the one in “English” not in “Characters”. Open the file, and go to the following line: “ch.Ship.Type = SHIP_LUGGER_ENGLAND;”. Replace “LUGGER_ENGLAND”ch.Ship.Type = SHIP_LUGGER_ENGLAND with the following to get new ships. ch.Ship.Type = SHIP_BLACK_PEARL (the hull cannot be damaged) ch.Ship.Type = SHIP_FRIGATE_SAT ch.Ship.Type = SHIP_FEARLESS ch.Ship.Type = SHIP_FORT ch.Ship.Type = SHIP_MANOWAR_ENGLAND ch.Ship.Type = SHIP_BATTLESHIP_ENGLAND
